Kentucky Youth Soccer Association Return To Play Guidelines

Based on the announcement from the Governor’s Office and the Department for Public Health on Monday, immediate changes in mask requirements are being implemented. For all outdoor activities at Kentucky Youth Soccer member associations, mask/face covering requirement is no longer required for coaches, players and spectators for any event or activity with less than 1,000 attendees. Please note that any activity taking place inside will still require players to wear a face mask when not actively training and coaches should still wear a face mask while coaching inside.

  • Parents are responsible to ensure they have taken their child’s temperature prior to sending them to practice or a game.

  • Parents are responsible to make sure their child is symptom-free and feeling well. Do not send a child who isn’t feeling well to a practice or a game. Do not send a child who has had exposure to a covid positive person, or a child who is on quarantine to soccer practice or a game.

  • Please practice social distancing while on the sidelines..


  • No congregating after games, please leave immediately after your game has come to an end.

  • Please don’t take the field until the teams who played previously have fully exited the fields.

  • Each player should have an individually labeled water bottle or sports drink.

  • Parents must sit 6 FEET Back from the playing Field, socially distanced from other families that are not in their household.

  • Parents should sanitize players' soccer balls before/after every practice and game.

  • Coaches if you use practice jerseys you should wash those after each practice session or game.
