NCYSA offers both Spring and Fall seasons for Rec Soccer.
Before each season begins, registration opens several weeks in advance to ensure we can have proper team placement, coaching assignments, and scheduling for the upcoming season. A coaches meeting is held prior to the start of practices, after that meeting coaches contact families with team details, practice schedules, and important season information.
Practices begin before games and are held 2 times per week for 1 hour each. Little Kickers has one session per week typically on Fridays. Games are primarily played on weekends, with consideration given to school calendars and Fall/Spring break. Rec Soccer seasons typically finish with an in-house tournament, allowing teams to celebrate the season and enjoy friendly competition.
Rec Soccer is designed for players who want to learn and enjoy the game of soccer in a fun, safe, and supportive environment. It is ideal for children who are new to soccer, those returning for another season, and families looking for a positive, community based program. This program places an emphasis on learning the fundamentals of the game, building confidence, and developing teamwork and sportsmanship.
